Fernando Souza (he/him) is a Mexican-Spanish filmmaker that studied film and has a MA in screenwriting. He worked for Magnolia TV helping develop some of Spain’s most important shows. But one day he quit to hitchhike around the world.

While in Asia he stumbled upon Host Clubs. He worked as a Host for several clubs and over years gained access to begin filming in this world. It premiered in Tallinn Black Nights and screened at Interfilm, Durban, Bogoshorts, Alcine, MakeDox, IDFA’s Docs for Sale…

Fernando’s first feature film is produced by Les Films de l’Oeil Sauvage (Cannes, Venice, Berlin, Sundance…) and coproduced by France Télévisions.
